“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote…that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”Samuel Adams, April 16, 1781
A Voter’s Plan of Action
It’s time to take back America. It starts with you. Revivalist Charles Finney wrote in the 1800s, “If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away,… let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.” The time to wake up and rise up is NOW!
Pray about whom God would have you to vote for, and encourage others to do the same. Seek a candidate who has Biblical values. Openly talk about and campaign for the candidate the Lord has placed upon your heart. Know the candidate’s positions on policy and government so that you may accurately represent him.
Teach others the importance and urgency of getting involved for our country. Share with them the heart of our Founding Fathers, their vision for America, and their emphasis of engaged conservatives. Express to your family and friends the need for a sincere and serious generation that will let their voice be heard. Samuel Adams declared, “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote…that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”
Pray for your candidate on a daily basis. Volunteer your time to promote the candidate. Distribute campaign materials. Put a sign up in your yard. Financial give if you are able to. Then go to the polls as a mighty army on voting day. After the election, continue to pray for your officials and stay informed of public policy – whether it is local, county, state, or national – that will affect your community. Call your officials and email them immediately to voice your concern about any particular decision being made.
